Spray Tan FAQ

How long does a spray tan last?

A spray tan typically lasts 7 days, depending on your skin type, how well you prep beforehand, and how you care for your skin afterward.

How should I prepare for my spray tan?

For best results:

  • Exfoliate your skin 24 hours before your appointment

  • Shave or wax at least 24 hours before

  • Arrive with clean, dry skin—no lotions, oils, deodorant, or makeup

What should I wear to my appointment?

Wear dark, loose-fitting clothing and sandals. Tight clothes can rub against your skin and affect your tan development.

How long before I can rinse off?

You’ll rinse anywhere from 2.5 to 8 hours after your appointment, depending on the solution used and your desired depth of color. I’ll give you exact rinse timing during your consultation. Your first rinse is just a warm water rinse—no soap or scrubbing. After that, wait a full 24 hours before your first real shower.

Can I work out or sweat after my spray tan?

Avoid exercise, sweating, or water exposure during the first 24 hours while your tan is developing. After that, you’re good to go!

Will it stain my clothes or sheets?

There may be temporary color transfer from the cosmetic bronzer, especially within the first few hours. It usually washes out of most fabrics, but we recommend using dark sheets and avoiding tight or light clothing right after your appointment.

How do I make my tan last longer?

  • Moisturize daily with a spray tan-safe lotion

  • Avoid long baths, hot tubs, or exfoliating scrubs

  • Pat dry after showers—don’t rub

  • Use gentle, sulfate-free body wash
