A spray tan typically lasts about 7 days. Longevity depends on your skin type, how well you prep beforehand, and how you care for your skin afterward.
-
For the best results:
• Exfoliate your skin 24 hours before your appointment
• Shave or wax at least 24 hours before
• Arrive with clean, dry skin with no lotions, oils, deodorant, or makeup -
Wear dark, loose fitting clothing and sandals. Tight clothing can rub against your skin and interfere with the way your tan develops.
-
You can wear whatever you feel most comfortable in. Some clients choose a swimsuit, underwear, or pasties, and others prefer to tan topless. Everything is completely based on your comfort level.
-
Rinse between 2.5 and 8 hours after your appointment, depending on the solution used and the depth of color you prefer. I will give you your exact rinse time after your consultation. Your first rinse should be a warm water rinse only with no soap or scrubbing. After that, wait a full 24 hours before your first real shower.
-
Avoid exercise, sweating, and water exposure during the first 24 hours while your tan is developing. After that, you can return to your normal routine.
-
There may be temporary color transfer from the cosmetic bronzer during the first few hours. It usually washes out of most fabrics. I recommend wearing dark clothing and using dark sheets right after your appointment.

Many expectant and breastfeeding clients choose sunless tanning as a safer alternative to UV exposure. Always check with your doctor first. If you are breastfeeding, I recommend wearing a strapless bra or pasties to keep the chest area product free.

Absolutely! For weddings, photoshoots, vacations, or special occasions, I recommend scheduling your tan one or two days before the event for the most settled and even color.

No. A spray tan does not contain SPF. You will still need to apply sunscreen any time you are outside.
